How to update or add ADDRESS information to the JPGS (JEPP, JDPA) databases.   If you are a publisher or association that should be in our database, use this form to supply new or updated contact details. The form may be used by anyone to add, correct, or suggest new or better information. All submitted info will be edited before being put online. Anyone will be able to see basic online information but only JDPA subscribers will have full access.
We are currently updating this page and the connecting pages. It is a slow process. We are trying to add new things but at the same time to not destroy old but still mostly useful things.
JEPP Standard
JAPAN ENGLISH PUBLICATIONS IN PRINT
We have improved JEPP and added another 25,000 titles that relate to Japan and East Asia. Really useful. Take a look through the link on the left.

JEPP Standard is FREE. It provides title, author, ISBN information on most titles. There are links for more information on Amazon, searching on Google, and other recommended resources that provide current availability and market price information.

JDPA Japan Directory of Professional Associations
The JDPA was previously published as a paper directory. The third edition was published in 1995. JDPA is used by libraries, researchers, booksellers and others needing information in English from Japan. The online edition is much more current than was possible with a paper directory. Accessing the data is easy and fast unless you have a very slow internet connection. Subscribers may contact us by email when they have questions. A human will respond. If you are a subscriber, enter by clicking on the JDPA link on the left. If you are not a subscriber, please order from your regular supplier, or you can order from us. The 1-year subscription to JDPA is US$500.00. JDPA is updated daily at our inhouse database; online updates are made periodically. Over 9,000 Associations (kyokai), Societies (gakkai), Institutes (kenkyujo), Centers and similar organizations in Japan are included. Main data consists of organization name in English and/or romaji Japanese (no kanji/kana are used), address, contact information including email address and website.

JPGS eNew
online list of new titles FREE   This is an occasional listing of titles newly added to the JPGS (JEPP) database. This should be helpful to librarians and others seeking info on new publications. We will copy the style of the old (discontinued newsletter) JGPS News and will add some links to further info/sources. Eventually this may become a paid subscription product but will remain FREE for some time. No subscription needed; no registration.
JPGSlite
FREE access  JPGSlite is the free donation-supported and commission-supported version of JPGS data. Lite is not a substitute for JDPA and JEPP. JPGSlite is both broader and less comprehensive. Publications are dropped from Lite if they can no longer be obtained from any source. JPGSlite can be useful even for JEPP subscribers who are looking for a source from which they can buy a book or other publication.

Unsubscribe
stop sending email  JPGS maintains several email lists of subscribers, potential subscribers and other interested people. These lists are used to promote and announce JPGS products and services. It is intended that these lists will send announcements that relate to JPGS and that the receivers of email will be people who are interested in one or more of the professional areas covered by JPGS. The best way to unsubscribe is to quickly return the whole email we sent to you. Be sure to reply from the same email address to which we sent the email and/or put the word UNSUBSCRIBE in the Subject line or add a short memo in the Body area. This will immediately result in dropping that email address from the list. It will not affect any other subscription that you may have.
