Especially in the USA, we need better distribution for books printed by small publishers in Tokyo. The economics are difficult but we would like to work with you. In general we are interested only in publications (paper or online, book or periodical) that are published in English (all or part). Listing of a title in the JPGS is important and can help an author. You will be helping your main authors and editors if you will tell them about JPGS; however, "listing" alone with JPGS is not likely to help you unless you are the sole distributor or publisher. IMC can be of more help to book retailers and distributors. IMC (Intercontinental Marketing Corp.) is located in Tokyo. IMC (also imcbook) imports, exports and distributes English (and some Japanese and Chinese) books and periodicals. IMC also handles many single-copy special orders. IMC will work with you if you have an interest in books from Japan. Most Japanese booksellers, whether storefront or online, do not sell English publications. Fewer than a dozen chains and retailers are responsible for most of the English book sales throughout the country. These companies are supplied by a number of medium and small companies such as IMC.
